Mindful Jewelry

my inspiration

The Pop of Color collection is designed to inspire playfulness and creativity through bold color contrasts. A tribute to both my African heritage and meditation practice, these mala-inspired necklaces celebrate tradition with a modern touch.

Handcrafted with colorful African trade beads from Ghana’s Krobo region, each recycled glass bead is knotted with a contrasting cord and colorful ribbon to make the colors pop.

forget me knot bracelets

Tie a string around your wrist to remember to find your joy. These forget me knot bracelets feature African trade beads hand knotted on colorful cord, along with a Sterling silver disc to add a little shimmer.

Stack ‘em up for added whimsey or wear solo for a simpler look. Each bracelet is adjustable to fit all wrist sizes.

Wilma necklaces

The Wilma necklaces combine the knotting technique of mala-making with colorful African trade beads from the Krobo region of Ghana. Find your joy with these chunky necklaces reminiscent of one of my favorite cartoon characters, Wilma Flintstone.

confetti necklaces

The Confetti necklaces feature an assembly of brightly colored, patterned Krobo beads. After the beads are fired, artisans paint symbols on the beads, then fire them again. The result? A joyful arrangement of colors and symbols that captivate the eyes and inspire smiles.

Making Krobo Beads

The African trade beads used in my designs are sourced from The Bead Chest, which employs fair trade practices to ensure artisans are fairly compensated for their work. Check out this video to see how Krobo beads are made by artisans in Ghana.
